Social-Emotional Learning and Connection
Social-emotional growth is at the heart of 2e4Me Academy's mission. We utilize the Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS; www.livesinthebalance.org) therapeutic framework, also known as Collaborative Problem Solving (www.thinkkids.org), which emphasizes that “Kids do well when they can.” Recognizing that twice-exceptional students often have unique emotional and behavioral needs, the academy provides opportunities to build emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and resilience. Semi-structured social-emotional learning activities help students learn to manage their emotions, set boundaries, and develop empathy. Additionally, the academy creates a warm and inclusive community where students can form genuine connections with peers who share similar passions and challenges. This sense of belonging is crucial for building confidence and ensuring that every student feels valued and understood.
